Comparing Queen, King, Full and Twin mattress

One of the first things I am asked regarding mattresses, is the difference between a Queen mattress, a King and a full mattress.

Well, to let the numbers speak, we could say like this:

A King mattress is about 76 x 80 inches. Pretty large, if you ask me. A King mattress is suited for adult couples, providing enough room for a good night sleep and giving you the advantage of space when you want to turn around during the night. Also, for those of you who love pets and like to sleep with their pets on the side, this is the recommended choice since the large space available will be more than enough for 2 adults and let's say, a cat or a dog...

Queen mattress dimensions and advantages

A Queen mattress is 60 x 80 inches, it is the most popular choice among young couples and honestly, it is my choice too. I also am a fan of memory foam mattresses. It provides enough space because Queen sized mattress dimensions are generous. The reason for which is so popular is because it fits better a normal or even a smaller bedroom, where a King would have been a bit too much. This way, young couples match the generous space provided by the Queen size to the limited space of the bedroom.

Full mattress dimensions and advantages

Well, Full sized mattresses are 54 x 75 inches, ideal for one single adult. It goes great in the guest room where there will still be room for other furniture.Also you can save some money on a cheaper bed for the full mattress.

Tween mattress dimensions and advantages

Twin size mattress is 39 x 75 inches, ideal for children, cheaper and occupies less space than any other above enumerated.
