nothing fits better a couple bedroom than a queen-sized mattress.

Dimensions of a Queen mattress

A Queen mattress is 60 inches wide, approximately 80 inches long. I think I have told you before that this is 6 inches wider and 5 inches longer than any full size mattress.
OK, but what does this mean to you? Simple, if you and your wife/husband share it, you have 30 inches personal space for each of you.

I know, if you sleep in twin beds that will be even better from the point of view of space and possibly comfort, but hey, let’s face it! You’ve got married and not for sleeping in separate beds, no matter they are twin or not! So, I think, in most of the cases, twin beds are out of the question, so a Queen mattress is the best choice. I think that 30 inches for every of you will probably be more than you would need. I can tell you from my personal experience that it is more than I need. In most of the cases, the dimensions of a Queen size bed and mattress are more than enough. Actually, if you don’t believe me, look around; ask your friends, what size are their beds? Do they need more than 60 inches for 2 persons sleeping in one bed? Personally I have asked my friends and everybody agreed that it’s more than enough.

However, there was one other problem with Queen size beds (and mattresses, yes) – the available space in the room. If you don’t have a large enough room, you may get a bit crowded and you may need to go for a smaller one, but if you have the space for it, pleas, and I mean, please, think smart and buy one that give you the comfort you and your loved one need! A few extra inches mean a lot when trying to rest!

I asked my friends and wife what do they feel about the dimensions of it, would they need it larger than this? Everybody said it is OK, only the wife of a friend said that in the morning they find their baby in the same bed with them, and in such a case they would need a few inches more. Well, that's a product for 2 people, not for 2 and a half, but hey, I think it does the trick for it also.
